I started using a dugout in college. Sneaking a quick hit between classes — it was the most portable, convenient way to carry real herb. No rolling, no setup. Just grab it and go.
But those old dugouts had problems. Most were made of wood, held together with a small screw on top. They weren't airtight. They were bigger than they needed to be. And whenever I had one in my front pocket, everybody could smell me coming before I got there.
I always figured someone would make a better one. So I looked around. What I found was a market full of products trying to do too much. Integrated grinders. Built-in pokers. Extra compartments. Features on top of features, solving problems that didn't need to exist.
What a dugout actually needs to do is simple: carry a pipe and your herb. That's it.
And when you machine it from aluminum instead of carving it from wood, everything changes. The walls can be thinner. The tolerances can be tighter. The whole thing gets smaller, lighter, and more discreet — without giving up capacity. If the pipe geometry is right, it clears itself — no poker necessary. If the fit is precise, nothing rattles and nothing leaks. And if you use magnets instead of a screw or a spring, the lid just works — every time, without thinking about it.
I prefer real herb to vape. Always have. And one thing that surprises people about The Lil' Duggie is how much it holds. You load it up, set it on your desk or drop it in your pocket, and it's ready whenever you are. No rolling, no grinding, no ritual. Just grab it on your way out.
That's The Lil' Duggie. Not more features. Better fundamentals.
I'm someone who looks at everyday objects and thinks about how they could be simpler, more considered, more intentional. Especially the things I carry. The things that are in my pocket or on my desk every day — those deserve to be right.
None Better is the company I started to make that happen. The Lil' Duggie is the first product. Precision-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. Eight anodized colors. Magnetic lid. One pipe, one chamber, nothing extra.
More to come.
