It works the way it looks like it works — but here is the whole walkthrough, and how to keep it clean for years.
GETTING STARTED
- Open the lid — it parks upright at ninety degrees, out of your way while you load.
- Fill the chamber with ground herb. It holds over two grams.
- Twist the pipe's bowl end in the herb chamber until the bowl is packed.
- Light the bowl and draw.
- When the bowl is spent, tap the pipe with your lighter to clear the ash.
- Slide the pipe back into its slot and swing the lid down — the magnet pulls it closed.
CLEANING — THE PIPE
You'll need isopropyl alcohol and pipe cleaners — both from any drugstore.
The pipe is machined for clean airflow. If the draw tightens, take a pull with flame — most blockages burn away to ash. When that stops being enough, it's time for a soak.
- Soak the pipe in isopropyl alcohol — this loosens the resin and does most of the work for you.
- Run a pipe cleaner through until it comes out clean.
- Rinse with warm water.
- Dry fully before it goes back in.
CLEANING — THE BODY
- Wipe it down with warm water and mild soap.
- Resin marks on the finish come off with a little alcohol on a cloth — the finish underneath is unmarked.
- Dry before storing.
THE FINISH
The Lil' Duggie is bead-blasted, anodized aluminum — a surface treatment, not a coating. Carried loose with keys, it will pick up fine marks. Where your thumb lives, the texture softens and takes on a low sheen.
None of this is failure. This is what real metal does when it goes where you go. An object that records its use is an object that got used. Carry it however you like — the finish keeps the score honestly.
